The International Tax Dialogue (ITD) is a joint initiative of the European Commission (EC), Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), International Monetary Fund (IMF), Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), World Bank Group and Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT). The ITD aims to encourage and facilitate discussion of tax matters among national tax officials, regional tax organisations, international organisations and other key stakeholders.

ObjectivesThe ITD aims to:
ConferencesThe ITD arranges periodic global and regional conferences to discuss key policy and administration issues. The conferences bring together experts and practitioners to identify and share good practice, facilitate dialogue between countries, and contribute to the development of future programs and activities. Five global conferences have been held to date, each attended by senior officials from approximately 90+ countries. Conferences have focused on Tax and Intergovernmental Relations in 2013 (Morocco), Tax and Inequality in 2011 (India), Taxation of Financial Institutions in 2009 (China), SMEs in 2007 (Argentina) and VAT in 2005 (Italy).
