International Tax Dialogue (ITD)
The International Tax Dialogue (ITD) is a collaborative project of the European Commission (EC), Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), International Monetary Fund (IMF), Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), United Kingdom Department for International Development (UK-DFID) and the World Bank Group to better discharge each institution’s own mandate by facilitating increased cooperation on tax matters among governments, international organisations and other key stakeholders.
In addition to global conferences, one of the ITD’s central resources for facilitating dialogue is the ITD website at www.itdweb.org. The web site provides an opportunity for tax administrations, ministries of finance, and international and regional organisations to share experiences and knowledge with peers on a global basis. Over 3000 documents are currently online with new documents added daily. The site is available in eight languages and includes an extensive range of links to resources in over 180 countries, news and a newsletter service, a tax reform questions area and a directory of technical assistance activities delivered by key international and regional organisations.
Asian Development Bank (ADB)
The ITD and the Ministry of Finance of the People’s Republic of China were also pleased to have active support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
ADB is an international development finance institution whose mission is to help its developing member countries reduce poverty and improve the quality of life of their people.
Headquartered in Manila, and established in 1966, ADB is owned and financed by its 67 members, of which 48 are from the region and 19 are from other parts of the globe.
